Ebike Cape Town hiring terms
These are the general terms of hiring a bicycle with EbikeCape Town. However, the full Terms & Conditions of Bicycle Hire are set out below and these supersede the general terms.

Bikes and equipment can only be hired from Ebike Cape Town on completion of a Hire Agreement Form or by accepting our hire conditions

No deposit/guarantee fee is required but we will retain your ID or passport for the duration of the rental.

Ebike Cape Town is not responsible for injury or damages caused to/by the client during the hire period.

A fine will be incurred by the hiree in the event of a late return of the hired bicycle (details of which are set out below).

THE BIKES ARE NOT INSURED. The hiree is fully responsible for incidental theft or failure to return a cycle.

It is a legal requirement to use a helmet whilst cycling in South Africa

All cycles come with one spare tube, multitool and a pump with the hire. However, a charge of R 200 is incurred if the tube is used. Any items not returned will incur a charge of R 250 per item not returned.

All cycles are presented in immaculate working order set up by professional mechanics, and, whilst Ebike Cape Town accept general wear and tear during the hire, any cycle returned with excessive cleaning required will result in an R300 charge to the client.

Theft and damage caused to any cycle will be charged to the hiree. This cost will amount to the loss incurred to Ebike Cape Town, and not the retail value of any cycle part or frame.

Full payment must be made at the time of booking.

Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, refunds are processed according to the timeline below:

21 days or more before departure: Eligible for a full (100%) refund, excluding bank charges.

Between 21 and 7 days before departure: Eligible for a 75% refund.

Within 7 days of departure: Non-refundable (0% refund).

Ebike Cape Town shall have no liability to you if we are unable to fulfil a Booking due to an event of Force Majeure. In the event of Ebike Cape Town being unable to fulfil your booking, our liability to you shall not exceed the agreed cost of the hire. In cases of Force Majeure, cancellations will not be permitted but it will be possible to reschedule any booking to a later date.
